The most requested competitive event in BAR is back! We are proud to announce this year's official Pro 2v2 Tournament is going to be held in the last weekend of August. Gather around to experience once again the spectacle of highest level of tactical prowess and teamwork as the participants struggle to achieve the title of the most destructive duo in BAR and win the community-funded prize of 270$!

It is designed to be an exclusive high-skill tourney this time, including a selection of our top players, hence the main event brackets will only include 6 teams (12 players). Before the tourney a special pre-elimination stage will run in which these final participants will be selected. Tune in to the #tournament channel on our Discord not to miss these matches!

Prize pool

Thanks to the curtesy of ZerpieDerp (100), Glass (100), Nillizon (20) and Sovgut (50) we have raised a pool of 270$ for the winners of this competition. The prize is to be split equally between the team members and is split over the top 3 teams in the following manner:

• 1st place: 150$
• 2nd place: 75$
• 3rd place: 45$

Tournament format

For this event, we decided to use a somewhat complex format. It is designed in a way that ensures the best casting & viewer experience and equal coverage of every team's games. Make sure to carefully read the below information if you are planning to join the tourney.

Games will be run with default mod-options, with team preset and. Custom user widgets disabled.

Pre-eliminations

We have gathered 24 players in total that paired into 12 teams according to their own preference. These teams will have to play best of 3 pre-elimination matches with in order to determine the 6 best teams that will be featured in the main event. This year the player roster is really hot, with some of the most famous (and infamous :)) players around:

The pre-elimination match will be run on the following maps:

• Round 1: Tundra V2
• Round 2: Red Comet Remake 1.8
• Round 3: Callisto v3

STAGE I (start of the main event)

6 teams, single elimination, best of 3

• Round 1: Fallendell V4
• Round 2: Death Valley v1
• Round 3: Eye Of Horus 1.7

Then stages II & III will run in parallel:

STAGE II

the winners of stage I: 3 teams, round-robin, best of 1

if the result is undecided after 3 games (we got 1:1:1 situation) we do another round of bo1's, until a winning team emerges.

• Round I: Comet Catcher Remake 1.8
• Round II: Incandescence Remake 3.3
• if there is need for more rounds, we use Red Comet as a tie-breaker map.

STAGE III

the losers of stage I: 3 teams, round-robin, best of 1

• Round 1: Red Rock Desert v1
• Round 2: Forge v1.4
• Same rules as stage II regarding 1:1:1 situation.

‍STAGE IV

Winner of stage III + 2 losers of stage II, round robin, best of 1

The winning team from this round gets promoted to the grand finale to fight for the 1st place. Runner-up gets the third place.

• Round 1: Archsimkats Valley V1
• Round 2: Paradise Lost
• Same rules as stage II regarding 1:1:1 situation.

Grand Finale

winner of stage IV vs winner of stage II, best of 3 / best of 5

• Round I: Valles Marineris 2.6
• Round II: Melting Glacier v1.1
• Round III: Supreme Crossing V1

If the time allows finals will be held as bo5, with following two maps played:

• Round IV: Tundra V2
• Round V: Comet Catcher Remake 1.8‍
