Titan
The Titan takes the title of the heaviest ARMADA unit with stride. Packing an anti-heavy tachyon accelerator, heat seeking vertical-launch missiles, close-quarters blasters with considerable AOE and a massive health reserve, the Titan is designed to deal with any (non-aerial or submerged) threat.
The Titan is a perfect frontline combatant.
Titans can go anywhere to defend and attack from every angle. Park them on the front to reinforce against enemy attacks or send them across uneven terrain to strike the enemy where vehicles can't.
Sending them into the sea is a decent option to deal with enemy navies - Titans are usually tall enough that their weaponry pokes above the water surface, ready to open fire on naval units.
The Titan can decimate a variety of threats because of its versatile combination of weapons:
- Close-quarters blasters to cut through T1 and T2 units
- A long-range heavy tachyon accelerator to melt T3 units
The Titan is specifically good in dealing with smaller sized armies, and shines most with help from supporting units. Vision from allied scouts like Ticks and fire support from ranged units like the Sniper and Starlight can make all the difference when engaging with Titans.
Use the self-destruct to your advantage. The resulting explosion can take out swarms of enemy units overwhelming your Titans and denies the enemy the ability to resurrect/reclaim dead Titans.
Do note:
- Titans are very limited in anti-air capability and are an easy target for submarines.
- Be careful around enemy Commanders and send waves of fodder with a Titan push, lest it die to a cloaked Commander's D-Gun.
- When not in combat, make sure to repair them » bring some Lazarus!
- Titans are the only super heavy T3 unit vulnerable to EMP.
- Submarines and submerged Ducks are a good counter for Titans at sea
